Crossways Counselling Service is overseen by a group of trustees, who bring a wide variety of skills
and experience to the work of Crossways.
Jane Saunders
Jane Saunders has been the Director of Crossways Counselling Service since it started in October
2000 and was involved in setting it up. A trained counsellor and supervisor, she also has her own private
practice and is a supervisor at Havant Bereavement Service.
Jane has lived in Haslemere for 15 years.
Maggie Grimshaw
I have been a Steward at Crossways for 3 years and became secretary to the Board of Trustees last
year. I am retired, and have lived in Haslemere for 10 years.
Dr. Simon Dunbar
Simon Dunbar is a Local GP in Grayshott, and has been there since 1988. He trained at
St Bartholomew hospital in London. He is married with 4 kids, enjoys tennis and golf, and his main
gp interests are around communication skills and mental health
Pam Ritchie
Pam has worked as a counsellor and counselling supervisor in a number of settings for the past 18 years
(including being Crossways first supervisor!). More recently she has developed her interest in
spirituality by training as a spiritual director and has become increasingly involved in retreat work and
spiritual direction.
Elizabeth Knifton
Elizabeth has been Chaplain of Acorn Christian Healing Foundation since October 2005.
Coming from a Health care background, she started Nursing in 1970 qualifying as an SRN,
SCM. Elizabeth was ordained in the Church of England in 1997.
She has an Advanced Diploma in Theology and Pastoral Studies. BSc, Dip in Education & Cert in
Management Studies.
Elizabeth’s passion is to bring the healing love of Christ to a broken world through Listening,
Healing and Reconciliation.
